Dog Friendly Dining: Freetail Brewing

Posted on April 2, 2011

Happy Saturday!

We’ve got another busy weekend ahead of us (only 10 left!) and are kicking it off with a walk along the San Antonio River Walk.  It is our absolute favorite place to take Gus and we will all miss it dearly when we move from San Antonio.  One of these days, we’ll lug the camera with us so we can give you all a proper walking tour.

If you follow us on Twitter, you may have noticed our tweet yesterday:

The high for today is near 90 and it appears San Antonio skipped spring and headed straight into summer.  We know several of you just received another round of snow, so we’re sure you’d like to *cyber* slap us right now. 😉

Do you know what goes great with sunshine and warm temps?  Craft beer.

Here are a few things we love about Freetail Brewing:

  • Locally brewed beer
  • Dog-friendly (covered) patio
  • Plenty of seating options
  • Ceiling fans for the hot, humid summer days
  • $2.75 pints on Tuesdays

During our first trip to Freetail we ordered the sampler.  It’s a great option when you want to try a sip or two of a variety of brews before you order a pint (or two).

I opted for a pint of (512)’s Pecan Porter.  (512) Brewing Company is a craft brewery based out of Austin, Texas.  If you ever get a chance to taste their Pecan Porter, do it!  It’s amazing.

Clearly, we hated them all. 😉

Uh oh.  Closed eyes?  Did Gus have one too many?

We’re part of this Saturday’s Pet Blogger Hop.  Please click the image to the left and say hello to our wonderful hosts.  We’re also posting the Linky below if you’d like to add your own blog url.  Happy Hopping!
