Brackenridge Park

Happy Saturday!

We hope your weekend is off to a great start.  Things are a bit somber around our house.  If you missed what happened with Gus, you can catch up here. His back is still causing him discomfort and we’re following our vet’s orders to keep him as calm and still as possible.  He is routinely walked three times per day and is very sad we’re not walking or playing with him. 😦

Normally, we spend our weekends taking long walks at one of the many beautiful parks in San Antonio, so it seems odd to not be heading out this morning for a walk.  Instead, we’ll be busy scurrying around the house spiffing everything up for the two house showings scheduled for today.

Although we can’t enjoy it ourselves this weekend, we thought this was a perfect time to share one of our favorite parks with you.  We took these photos last Saturday and things are starting to green and bloom.  We heart spring!

Aren’t we lucky ducks?!  This is such a gorgeous park!

Speaking of ducks…  Sorry, had to. 😉

Brackenridge Park is filled with wonderful trails with plenty of good smells for the doggers.  While walking last weekend, it really started to hit home that we’re moving soon.  This park is one of many great walking places that we’ll miss.

Awwww…we so wish he was able to go for a walk today.  Look how happy he is!

We thought this big tree stump would make for a great photo-op.  Grumpy grumperson didn’t agree.

Some day we’ll be able to catch him peeking through this hole.  Some day…

Gus abruptly stopped along the trail.

What does he see?

A terrifying, menacing squirrel…

Bunny hops!

Heading home…

If you ever find yourself in San Antonio, stop at Brackenridge Park for a stroll.  You won’t regret it!
