Romeo’s Italian Grill & Bar

Posted on February 21, 2011

Exhausted is the best word to describe us right now.  Five house showings in four days = a continuous cleaning frenzy.  Our Dyson worked overtime this past week and is begging for a little R&R.  We hoped for more house showings and we definitely got them!  Be careful what you wish for crossed our minds several times this weekend.  Here’s hoping one of the showings turns into an offer soon.  We’re running low on glass cleaner, shower spray and our sanity. 😉

We try to make the most out of our time during house showings.  We normally take a long walk around the neighborhood or head to the park for a stroll.  We’ve also been known to stalk the potential buyers from down the street. 😉  After we received an unexpected showing request last Thursday evening, we packed up Gus and headed to Romeo’s Italian Grill & Bar for dinner.  The weather in San Antonio right now is perfect for outdoor dining and we took full advantage of the mild temps.

Hooray for a fantastic happy hour menu!  We skipped over the drink portion of the HH menu, but vowed to return some evening.  The pear martini was screaming my name. 🙂

$5 calamari and pizzas?!  Yes, please.

Mmmmm…bread + olive oil is always a good way to start the meal.

Did you notice Gus’s pimped out chair?  We just “happened” to have an orange pillow in the car.  M and I both agreed Gus needed a more comfortable spot to rest his little legs. 🙂

Calamari to start off the meal…

Tomato Artichoke pizza…

Pizza numero dos…classic pepperoni.  It was as cheesy, greasy and delicious as it looks.

By the end of our meal, Gus was more than ready to head back home.

Thank you, Romeo’s for allowing dogs on your patio!

As we’ve included in past dog-friendly dining posts (Waxy O’Connor’s and Los Patios), here is our dining recap/review:

+/- Average food (dog friendly dining will be the reason we return)
– Slow service

Please let us know if you think of anything you’d like to see added to our dining reviews (i.e. prices, decor, etc…).  While traveling, we intend to post daily dog-friendly dining reviews and would love your input.  Is there anything we’re missing?
